murder
The movie "Law Abiding Citizen" was AWESOME!

This is my review for the movie “Law Abiding Citizen”. First off, I’d like to say that this movie was astonishing!
I’d like to begin my review with a small summary of the movie. A summary in which will NOT spoil any of the good parts. I’ll present just enough information so that you can get familiar with the plot, and to see if this movie sounds like the right movie for you.
The movie starts out with the main character, Clyde Shelton, being played by Gerald Butler, in his house, with his family. He answers the door to find two men that decide to knock him down, and tie him up. After brutally attacking him and his wife (along with doing “other stuff” do his wife), the two men spot the daughter of the family, and take her into another room, and kill her. The wife also ends up dying. Unfortunately, Clyde can’t give the person who murdered her daughter a harsh punishment because the evidence of her death being caused by his hand was not strong enough. So ten years after the murdering of his family, Clyde plans a very elaborate scheme to “bring down the system”. He plans the deaths of several people, while making sure that the evidence doesn’t add up to make him guilty. The lawyer, Nick Rice, played by Jamie Foxx, cannot prosecute him, because of the weak evidence (despite the fact that he knows that he murdered the people). So will Rice be able to prosecute the one that he knows murdered the many people? Just how well did Clyde perfect his plan? Will Rice step out of his jurisdiction to convict this murderer? And just how well does Clyde make a fool out of the Justice System?
Well, I can answer that last question! Clyde PWNS the justice system! This movie just goes to show that our system is not perfect. People can still go to jail, or be let free, despite the fact that the person may have did nothing or something wrong. And the main objective of Clyde is to completely dismantle the system, to the point in which the entire city gets into turmoil.
The elaborately planned murders, the wicked explosions, and the intense plot made this movie very memorable! But the part that I enjoyed the most was the act of slipping right through the loopholes of our justice system. This is definitely something that could happen in real life, but very unlikely. This movie also teaches the lesson that our justice system is not perfect. And Clyde was the perfect example of the system’s imperfections. The events that happened ten years prior, and his schemes really helped prove this fact.
After pondering for a long time, I came to the conclusion that there is nothing in this movie that is worth mentioning in this review, that I found was negative. Well, now that you think about it…some of the murders were kind of sick…So I official give the movie “Law Abiding Citizen” a 10 out of 10!

An insurance salesman falls for his client's wife's trap of love.

The movie starts with an insurance salesman who falls in love with one of his client’s wife. The introduction starts with the insurance salesman, Walter Neff, recording himself confessing to his boss. I liked the cinematography in that scene; where he is alone, in a dark room, where it shows in his face what he has been through. And also the suspense in his voice, his sweaty forehead, and the close ups to his face. He narrates the story, which made it boring after watching him talk for so long. It would have been better if would have cut that shorter, although it was a creative way of narrating the story. This movie had its twist and turns which made it exciting to watch. This is the kind of movie that you are excited to find out what will happen next, with all its suspense scenes. Basically, Walter and Phyllis Dietrichson, the girl he fell in love with, were trying to make their love work. Well that’s what it seemed like at first, and it actually makes you believe it, until the ending. Walter really tries hard and even murdered his client, Phyllis’s husband, to make their love work. But since Phyllis had gotten accident insurance for her husband, Walter’s boss didn’t believe it was actually an accident. And it wasn’t an accident, since Walter had to pretend to be him in crutches and “accidently” fall of a train. Phyllis was the one who persuaded Walter into persuading her husband to get accident insurance, which he ended up doing. Walter thought since they were in love, they would plan to share the money they earned after her husband’s “accident”. But it wasn’t all so easy since that insurance company was investigating if it was really an accident. Then Walter had talked to Mr. Dietrichson’s daughter, which made him think twice about trusting Phyllis. At first he had to calm her down and make her believe Phyllis had nothing to do with her father’s death. He finally realized what Phyllis was really up to. And long story short, she tried to shoot him but she just shot him in the shoulder, and he shot her back twice and killed her. Then it all goes back to that dark room where he was confessing to his boss of his foolish trap. But it ended up that his boss was listening all along. And Walter planed to cross the border, but he didn’t even make it to the elevator. The ending really surprised me; it took its big turn. It was something you didn’t see coming or you just didn’t expect. This wasn’t one of those happily ever after movies. It showed the reality of different situations like love and money. In the movie, I noticed that the deaths weren’t cared for and it wasn’t a tragic thing. I didn’t really like the ending because it was cut short and it didn’t seem like a real ending. But overall, I really liked the movie and that’s why I rated it an 8 out of 10. And I am pretty sure you will enjoy it too.
What could go wrong when a specialist plans to outsmart his own system and runaway rich and in love?

First things first, this is a very great movie. Although this movie is quite sinister, especially for the time that it was made, it is quite a good work of cinematography. This movie kept me wanting to know what would happen next through its duration. This movie kept me at “the edge of my seat” and I watched every second of this movie. The one thing though that did bother me, was the actual darkness of the picture, I guess I can really only blame the technology of the time, oh well.
The movie is about a guy named Walter. He is an insurance salesman. One day, he goes to the house of Mr. Dietrichson to try and get him to renew his automobile insurance. When Walter goes inside the house, he finds that Mr. Dietrichson isn’t there but his wife is. As soon as Walter laid eyes on Mrs. Dietrichson, he was in love with her. So in love, that he would not realize what he was doing through the entirety of the movie. Phyllis (Mrs. Dietrichson), asks Walter what he is at the house for and Walter tells her that he needs to speak to her husband about his automobile insurance. She eventually asks Walter about life insurance and immediately Walter knows that she wants her husband dead and just wants the money that comes from the insurance company when he dies “accidently”. At first, Walter does not give in but eventually does. Walter tries to talk Mr. Dietrichson a few days later about getting life insurance. He refuses to buy life insurance. Walter, being the scammer that he is, told Mr. Dietrichson to sign for the life insurance saying that it was automobile insurance papers. Mr. Dietrichson did not read the papers and just signed away. So now the trap was set and all Walter and Mrs. Dietrichson had to do was kill Mr. Dietrichson and make it look like an accident to get the money from the insurance company and then they could run off together. But they didn’t want to just get the normal sum of money, they wanted to get the double indemnity bonus from this insurance company. So they arranged for Mr. Dietrichson to “accidently” die in a manner that will give Walter and Mrs. Dietrichson double indemnity. Walter and Mrs. Dietrichson succeed in killing Mr. Dietrichson but were they able to make it seem like it was a total accident? That I cannot tell you for you have to watch the movie yourself and find out!
I would like to say that this movie is a must-see, especially for those who are huge fans of dramas. I would like to give this movie 8 stars out of 10. I never realized that I would like this movie so much, but it really struck my attention and I think it is a very enjoyable movie for most audiences. So go ahead, get this movie, pop some popcorn and get ready to have your eyes glued to the screen!
An insurance man kills his lovers husban and gets away with it! Then as time goes by, the insurance company he works for start to question.

Ever wanted to see a great movie where every scene your at the edge of seat. Then this film is for you. It is about this insurance man who falls in love with a wife of his client. As he constantly revisits his client, he finds out that the wife falls in love with him. As their relationship grows, they begin to plan for their future. In this future, somebody has to die in order for the wife to be with the insurance man. They plan this death on this innocent sole and it was almost flawless. Almost. The insurance man thought he could get away with it knowing what his company would do if they would investigate. He plans every detail so perfectly you would believe he would get away with murder. The murder looks so much like an accident that the insurance company is worried that they would have to pay double indemnity. The wife and the insurance man start to get comfortable, too comfortable. The insurance man finds out that the company has a new interest on why the husband would have a double accident and file no claim of the first accident. The company suspicions alarms turn on full blast. The insurance man starts to panic and then…
Then you have to see the movie for yourself to see what happens. This movie personally was good and did not boar me at all. The actors were so into character I felt that the film was a secret tape and the story was true. The music was stupendous, all the suspense and thrill came from the music score. It is kind of like the background theme song for ‘Jaws’. Where in the movie there is a little boy or girl playing in the ocean shore, splashing merely. In the back of them, not far behind them you see something blurry. You see only the fin and as the shark gets closer, the music gets louder. Then all of a sudden, the music stops. Then…BOOM! The shark gobbles you in one bite, but that is just comparing the music score between ‘Jaws’ and ’Double indemnity’. I am not saying they shared the same songs, they used the same tone of music to put more emphasis and more of a fell about what is going on in that moment. I have to admit that at times the black and white film was hard to see due to bad, not terrible lighting. Overall, a movie became a favorite of mine. As I watched this movie, it was difficult for me not to watch it over again. Luckily, I had help. The movie was also moderately funny. It was not a comedy but there were a few jokes or something to laugh at. Eight out of ten is extremely hard to get of me. I am a bit generous but I do not just go around rating everything above five. Also all the movies that I have seen none have earned a perfect ten out of ten. My first impressions on the title were “Great another movie.” Then it happened, the movie actually got good. As I watched the film, my first impressions had changed in a heartbeat clean. My posture straightened, my eyes widened, and my ears listened. My favorite genes are comedies, action, suspense and mystery. The gene of this movie is drama. I thought it was going to be dull because I do not usually watch drama films. As it turned out this movie was full of suspense, twists and action. I was taught a good story has a good pull in. What I mean is the film makes you want to continue watching it. Also good story has a good climax. For those of you who do not know what a climax is, it is when the story reaches a high point. The cinematography of the movie was great. The close-ups are perfect. When you make a movie close-ups are important when trying to add more emphasis. This film did well when they would close- up every time the insurance man would speak into a recorder they would close-up on him. This gave it the effect that what he was saying into the recorder was important. The story was gold. It had amazing actors to complement it. The director did really well. The director must have about a hundred awards for his films. The director had picked great actors. Chose the best sets. TAlso chose the best music. This film was so good it was mind bottling. It rendered me speechless. The film could not have been any better. If it did, I would not have been able to get off my seat to write this review. It …wow. That is all could say after it ended. If you ask me if it is worth the time to see this movie, would say go for it. If you ask me if the film is good, I would say no. I would say that this film was awesome. I recommend everyone to watch this film. I feel I am not doing a good job giving this film the review it truly deserves. If you watch the film for yourself, you will know what I mean. If you have popcorn ready, a small or large drink get yourself a copy of ’Double indemnity’. Then you are ready to watch the best movie you will ever watch! Do not worry about the black and white, if it were in color the magic would be lost. The black and white setting is perfect for the mystery, suspense and action. So get that movie, lights, camera, and action!(I always wanted to say that.)
An insurance salesman sells accident insurance to a man so that he can later kill that man and go off with the man's wife with the money off the accident insurance policy.

This film was a great, sort of mysterious story that kept my eyes on the screen the entire duration. I loved how the suspense of Keyes getting closer and closer of finding out who killed Mr. Dietrichson, while Walter knew that Keyes was really close to finding out who it was, but never even suspected who the murderer really was. I loved how Keyes puts something to his mind and says he’s going to find out who did it. He never gave up on trying solving the mystery, because he did not believe that Mr. Dietrichson would just fall down and die off of a train going at a slow rate. It is also outstanding how Keyes was able to find out the exact plan of how the murder was executed. To me, Keyes was my favorite character in the film, because I like his will and I believe you would have to be a real good actor to play the role of Barton Keyes. Now, there were some negative views from me of this movie. I didn’t really understand what Phyllis was going after; Was it the money, or the guy? I also didn’t like how the movie ended. I wanted to see what would become of Walter after all of these murders he has been committing and secrets he’s been keeping from everyone. In my point of view, I believe that the story was left incomplete and still had a huge gap to fill in, but still, it was one of the greatest dramas I had ever seen in my life. The mischief in Phyllis was really noticeable, and I think the actor did a great job in making herself seem like evil was her middle name. I think the whole cast of the film was an all-star cast and also had a great director to lead their crew. The director did a good job of making every scene in the movie look dark and gloomy; just like how the story was. You can see that all this darkness was shown to point out how the situation was at the time during the movie. How every scene was heavy in shadows and dark spots was just a phenomenal way to show how intense the evil was in this movie. And it was an extra touch on how there were hardly any scenes showing happiness or a peace mood in either of the characters. Overall, this movie, in my perspective, was one of the best movies at the time it was filmed, and it is at least ranked in the top 10 movies that I have watched this year. I’m not the kind of guy who would write with such joy about a movie in the genre of dramas, but this movie is an exception to my ways of thinking. Double Indemnity is an awesome movie, and I recommend you to get your hands on a copy of the movie and watch it as soon as it is possible.
An insurance man kills the husband of the woman he loves

The movie Double Indemnity is about an insurance man who kills the husband of the woman he loves. Before the murder takes place the husband has had an accident and he is on crutches. They both plan out when and where the murder is going to take place. They plan it out very good so that nobody will find out it was them who murdered him. They make it seem as if his murder was an accident. They kill him in the car first by breaking his neck. That day he is supposed to go on a trip. The insurance man goes in the train as the lady’s husband. Then he goes all the way to the back of the train. There is a man when he gets to the back of the train, the insurance man asks him if he can go get cigars for him. The insurance man goes to get them for him and when the man comes back he is gone. He has jumped onto the train tracks, off the train so that it seems that he fell by accident. Then he meets the lady and they both put the body on the train tracks. The insurance man’s boss is not too sure that the death was an accident so he tries to figure out how the murder took place. And he figures out every step they made. He knows the wife is included in the murder, but he doesn’t know who the other person is. The insurance man starts to worry because the murder is being discovered. The insurance man decides that they cant see each other for a while so that they don’t discover it was him who murdered the man. The daughter of the man that was killed also knows that it was the wife who killed her father and decides to go talk to the insurance man, so that her step mother wont receive any money because of his death. She tries to explain to him that before his death she found her looking in the mirror with her black hat on. And that she had the same look two days before her mother died. The insurance man tries to deny it saying that she is just imagining things and not sure about what she is saying. They think that by murdering the man they are going to be able to be closer with each other but it turns out that everything doesn’t turn out according to their plans, they actually have to be separated for a while so that the murder wont be discovered. They don’t want anybody to see them together so they always go to a pharmacy and pretend that they are there to shop not to see each other. One day the insurance man tells the lady that he is going to meet her at her house at 11:00 pm. So they meet at her house, his plan is to kill her so that he is not accused for the murder. However, he does not know that she also plans to kill him. They start talking and he starts telling her that he is not going to be accused for the murder. But when he turns around the lady shoots him. He tells her to shoot again but she doesn’t, so he ends up killing her. You would have to see it to figure out what the ending is. This movie is a great movie, it is very exciting. I think that at first you would not imagine the ending to be like it was because the characters loved each other so much.

Psycho Film Review
Psycho Under Review
Psycho is a 60s horror film but, because of the ever changing definition it would now be considered more of a bare bones thriller. It begins with a woman named Marion who takes advantage of a situation, handing itself to her, to take a large amount of money so she can be together with her man. She begins in the city, where she works, then proceeds to a long road trip as she makes her escape with forty thousand dollars. On a fluke she lands in a hotel where she is brutally murdered and her sister, boyfriend, and boss are all searching for where she has disappeared to.
The back story of a movie sets up for the climax of the film. Once the border is laid out, the character can then proceed to change as the story continues. The character arc is the change in a character as they leave their comfort zone and adventure into new places. To create more empathy for these characters they need depth. The cast design helps bring out new information about the character. By placing them in situations with different people the director brings out different aspects of their personality which, in turn, fleshes them out.
In many movies the back story takes up a good portion of the movie, usually between a fifth and a half of the movie is taken up just explaining how everything has or will happen. The back story also provides a personality for the characters within the movie. Psycho is shot entirely in the present tense and so, when the movie begins, you see Marion with her boyfriend. This immediately sets up that she is a woman who socializes (she has met someone) and she is passionate. As we progress she is shown as work, where she is submissive to her boss and tolerant of her self-centered but insecure assistant. This sets her up as a hard-working patient woman whose main goals in life are likely the stereotype for young girls; to grow up, get married, have a good job, and have children. So without this back story the viewers would have trouble finding a character arc.
The character arc is the change someone makes within the film as they progress through their journey. Marion, for example, begins as a hard-working woman and, as opportunities arise, she becomes a woman on the run and finally is killed in her attempts. She is given money to put in the bank but instead decides to steal it for her relationship, even though her boyfriend said that when he paid off his debt they could be together. She has changed from truthful and enduring to impatient and insincere. She continues on this path of dishonesty through several tedious trials and finally lands herself in a hotel. Here is where she lets down her guard and allows herself to act as she did before. This costs her life. The character arc of Marion allows the viewer to realize the journey, as it changed the character with whom the watcher is empathizing.
A wide array in the cast is required in movies to create depth to characters. By having them react differently to different people the viewer can understand who the person actually is and begin to feel emotions towards the character. Following Marion again, she meets several very different people on her journey towards freedom. Her boss makes her act submissive, allowing her to see as if is very passive; but, while this is true, she reacts to the other assistant in the office as if she were a child, someone you can acknowledge but do not react to so as not to encourage the unwanted behavior. This makes her seem more authoritative. She also is seen with her boyfriend which makes her seem passionate; but also talking to a policeman, who interrupts her drive, where she acts impassive. To Norman, the owner of the motel she is killed at, she is sympathetic and almost motherly in some instances (she does not tell him that she thinks that stuffing birds is an odd habit though it is clearly shown on her face). The different reactions to these characters help build personalities for people to relate to.
Depth in film makes it more realistic to a watcher and gives dimension to an otherwise stagnant movement. By exploring the personalities before they change you establish an almost real person. Observing the change in them the viewers can begin to feel more as if the person is not caught in time, in a manner of speaking, but changes with it. Interactions with different people and things make them seem as if their story actually happened, creating empathy in the audience. Psycho is a movie that incorporates all of these things but, as previously stated, is very bare minimum. It shows only enough arc to be noticeable. Overall it is a wonderful movie for its time period but one that someone would only tolerate seeing once.

The film makes you root for the wrong person, and in the end, the bad guy wins. Bad guys are not suppose to win, at least not in the movies. This is why, I didn't really like the ending of this film, don't get me wrong I love surprises, but to let the character get away with everything, that is not the way I would go.
When you watch a film, especially a crime drama like this one, the story is centered around the match up of good versus evil. Good always wins, because as much as you like watching these violent movies, you look forward to the Good victory. This movie was heading into that direction, until the horrible twist at the end.
Now as far as the movie goes, it is about a reporter Rowena Price (Halle Berry), who is trying to solve her friend Grace's ( Nicki Aycox) death. Before her death, Grace met up with Price, where she told her about the affair she was having.
Grace was having an affair with advertising giant Harrison Hill (Bruce Willis), and she was planning on telling Hill's wife about it. Grace was found dead, apparently she was poisoned with some sort of specialized eye solution.
Price along with her friend Miles Haley (Giovanni Ribisi) begin to build a case against Hill. With what Grace told Price, they use that as motive. Also Hill's wife has access to the same poison that was used in Grace's murder.
With all this information, Price and Haley pin the murder on Hill, and he is found guilty. End of story right, bad guy loses and good guy wins. Wrong it turns out Hill didn't even commit the murder, Price and Haley framed him.
So who did, was it Price, Haley, or did it even happen, well I guess you are just going to have to watch the movie and find out. Whoever did it gets away with it, and that is why I giving this film 3 stars out of 5.
