The Incredible Hulk
Bruce Banner, a fugitive hiding in Brazil tranforms into a huge, terrifing Hulk that tries to do good.

Ang Lee's previous take on the character was pretty sloppy and disliked by most people. With a pretty stupid origin (his father giving him an injection) one could expect more from Ang Lee. On June 13, 2008 people lined up to buy tickets to see Louis Leterrier's take on the character. Their expectations weren't very high because of the previous version and the bad preview. Most of them got more than they expected. Some got the same amount and some got less. It depends on what type of person you are to like the movie. If you worry to much about the script, acting and direction you may not like it but if you are a die-hard action fan who goes to see a movie for fun then you will. If you are a woman it depends, but according to the data on IMDB, woman over 40 will probably not like it.
The movie over all was fun and a good way to pass the 2 hours but it was not oscar- worthy for anything except possibly sound or sound effects. The visuals got a B because it was a good achievement but I wasn't really crazy about the way the Incredible Hulk looked and I didn't like the way the Abomination did at all. The handheld camera can make one dizzy but they couldn't have done it any other way! The screenplay wasn't fantastic neither was the direction but the story was very good. But one can't go to see a movie like the Hulk and worry about the screenplay!!!
The Incredible Hulk starts out and a science lab during the opening credits showing how Bruce Banner transforms into the Hulk. Banner then becomes a fugitive hiding in Brazil. He works at a factory and learns to speak Portuguese (making many mistakes, such as "Don't make me hungry. You wouldn't like me when I'm hungry!") and whilst working in the factory he cuts himself and the radioactive blood gets into a bottle and the man who drinks it (Stan Lee in one of his lovable cameos) becomes very sick. Then General Ross (William Hurt) sends his army to find Bruce Banner so he can get a sample of the blood. Banner then turns into the hulk and destroys everything. A confused fighter (Tim Roth) asks the general to help him become a hulk like thing and he does become an even more dangerous creature that is stronger and wiser than our incredible hulk!
Edward Norton probably wasn't the best choice for the Hulk and Eric Bana was probably a better choice, Norton did a decent job as Bruce Banner. Liv Tyler didn't have a fantastic acting performance for some reason and she could have done better. William Hurt was personally my favorite performer in this film and nailed the role he did and Tim Roth was a good Emil Blonsky.
The score could fit the mood of the movie with some dramatic music. Not too memorable or oscar- winning but it is not so bad.
Overall this movie was good. Not great but enjoyable. Some parts may be predictable becuase of the comics (of course) but the Hulk is the Hulk, not too bad, not too good.
