Under the same moon
The movie "Under the same moon" is about a woman from Mexico, who has crossed over the border looking for better work. While she has been gone for four years, her son still lives in Mexico with her sick mother.
The movie was incredibly touching and eye-opening! I knew that this country has a big issue on illegal and legal immigrants, but watching this movie made me see how hard it really is for the people trying to come over, only looking for a better life.
The story shows a little boy's journey of crossing over the boarder, in order to be with his mother. All the struggles he has to take just to get over, plus all the ones he runs into trying not to caught and thrown back over!
"Under the same Moon" has been one of the biggest eye-openers for me. Just thinking about all the prejudices Americans have against Mexican people, and the struggles they have to go through to be able to live a life that most of us were born into!
It's an amazing film, one I believe should be shown in schools for educating the public about prejudices and this country.
