A Woody Allen film. Allen is a creative genius and a top film-maker.
This movie is his somewhat cynical, but humorous, view of some foolish aspects of romance. Allen is always insightful - sometimes even at a metaphysical level (Deconstructing Harry for instance).
Scarlett Johansson gives her best-ever performance, in her laid back (no pun intended) fashion, in playing her self. I bet Allen scripted the character role based on her actual personality.
Comedy is not in the dialogue, as found in Allen's earlier films, but is in the situations. Not one of his best but is entertaining.
